In 2009, through the cause marketing of our business members, Realities For Children continued to reach further than ever before in service for the needs of abused and neglected children in Larimer County. In addition to providing an overall marketing value presence, valued at $538,736.84 for our business members, fundraising efforts and cause while spending just over $94,000, Realities For Children generated and helped to raise over a million dollars for abused, neglected and at-risk youth locally. What makes this accomplishment so amazing is that it was all done through leveraging the membership dollars versus a percentage of them. With a total gross company revenue of $308,799.05, every dollar that came in raised three dollars in service for children's needs in our community!

The business members of Realities For Children have helped to create a unified voice for the abused children, who cannot speak for themselves. In 2009, Larimer County Department of Human Services substantiated 436 cases of child abuse. The Larimer County Department of Human Services received over 5,500 reports of childhood abuse. The business members of Realities For Children helped to ensure that these children were provided for and did not slip through the cracks of the system. With an increase in needs and continued federal cuts in services, business membership is more important now than ever, because no child should be forgotten.

Realities For Children offers three levels of membership:

• Supporter Membership $75 per month
• General Membership $150 per month
• Gold Membership $300 per month

Membership is limited or capped at 150 businesses and is for a period of one year. Although Realities For Children, Inc. is a Colorado non-profit corporation, it is not an IRC section 501(c)3 organization. Therefore, membership fees cannot be claimed a charitable donations, however, they are generally considered a deductible advertising business expense.

Realities For Children Member Card

One of the benefits of membership is the Realities For Children Member Card, which provides discounts and special offers from Members, to Members. These discounts are available only to Realities For Children Members upon presentation of the Member Card to participating businesses.
